The Dicentra spectabilis also known as bleeding heart, which is one of my favourite flower species. They are widely distributed in north China and have been cultivated. There’re still two or three months before we can see the flower again. These photos are taken last year.

What an amazing flower Mingfei. I have never seen something like it and it is truly amazing. Is it only found in China? Excellent photographs.
ReplyDeleteHi, Joan! It is said that the flower could grow in Japan, east Russia and other northeast area of Asia. I'm also very excited when I first encountered it because I had never seen this in my hometown.

ReplyDeleteSo it seems it likes the colder climates. Here in SA we have cherry trees which grow in only one small area as the rest of the country is too hot for them. When they are in bloom, it is one of the most spectacular sights to see.
