Google,Please DON’T BE EVIL

This is one of the ads provieded by Google: the python handbags!

What can I do but scream “Protect our Wildlife!” What can I do but refuse clicking the ads or buying the products? What can I do but show my indignation?

When will nature senior to money or to human, the so called “higher animals”?

Flourishing Wintersweet

The wintersweet flowers (Chimonanthus praecox) in CAU campus are flourishing these days, much later than those in Kunming, Yunnan Province.

Plum flowers are considered as a symbol of perseverance in Chinese culture, for they only bloom in cold winters. "Plum flowers braving the snow", as the saying goes. Most people believe that wintersweet is a kind of plum. However, plum belongs to the family of Rosaceae, but wintersweet is a member of Calycanthaceae. Now you see, they are totally different species.

The first snow in 2009

The 2008’s winter has passed silently, without any snow or rain. However, things always go better. After a long period of drought. What 2009 presents us was not only the rain a few days ago, but also the snow which has lasted for three days! Here are some photos taken in our campus.
